Catering for a wedding

There has been no time for my usual bog posts this weekend as we catered for a wedding yesterday. It was an afternoon tea on our vintage crockery for a hundred people.

I only managed a couple of photos because it soon became too busy. This was before we had taken the cling wrap off the sandwiches and before we had put the tea pots and coffee pots on the table so it doesn’t give the full effect but gives a bit of an idea.

Most of today has been spent washing up and putting away. I matched the trios on our dining table before putting them back in their boxes.

It’s been a busy weekend but a successful one. We had lots of comments on how much the tea was enjoyed and how pretty the crockery looked.

It all looks amazing,You both must feel very proud of yourselves.I did wonder why there was no blog for a couple of days, now I can see why.

    • It has been hectic but it is a good feeling when it’s all done. It also gave us a chance today to stock take the crockery, throw out anything under par and organise it in an easier way for future use.

We already have two weddings booked for next year and and have been getting lots of interest in the afternoon teas. We had one lady (getting married next year ) who asked if she could come and see our afternoon tea food when prepared. We said that we just happened to be doing a wedding yesterday so she came over in the morning to have a look. She was really impressed and has booked us.

We are pleased with how well it has been going. When we collected the crockery we never expected it to have so much use. We said today that it was one of our better decisions.
