Halloween windows

Every Halloween we seem to get spooky windows in our sitting room. We call them “the ghosts in the windows”. It’s obviously because the weather conditions at this time of year are always quite similar. It always seems appropriate for Halloween though.

The ghosts in the windows

It is spooky that they always appear like this just in time for Halloween.

We have the original Edwardian windows with no double glazing. The windows have condensation first thing in the morning in certain conditions but where there are draughts it has cleared patches. As the morning goes on it all clears.

Now that it has turned colder and we have put the heating on it shouldn’t do this. We have thick, lined, curtains to help keep draughts out and we also have an open fire in the evenings. We love the original windows but this the price you pay in an old house.

It looks like this every year at this time just in time for Halloween. xx

I always think so. On the clear spot on the left you can just see the 30 sign.
