Chicks have a partial moult where they lose their baby feathers and get their adult feathers in. We have only had the five amigos for three weeks but when we first got them they all had tails.<\/p>\n

Since then Vanilla has lost her tail and Marmite has only a short tail. This was the new girls in the first few days we had them.<\/p>\n

See the difference now. I have been picking up white feathers from the run. She has moulted her tail feathers and will now grow her adult tail.<\/p>\n
