Red has now come back into lay after a break of one month which was longer than usual for her. She is back to laying every other day. Maple seems to be taking a break and hasn’t laid for a week now. I often say that I think non broody girls just need to take a short break sometimes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud came through being broody after a few days and has now started moulting. She is dropping feathers as she moves but doesn’t look much different apart from a slightly ragged tail. The interesting thing is that her comb is now pale like Mango’s is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud’s comb isn’t quite as pale as Mango’s but it’s not the lovely bright red it was when she was laying. She does have a taller comb than Mango so it always looks a bit more impressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
