Every year our foxgloves self seed around the garden. Some of them turn up in the veg plot and I transplant them around the garden. Most of them are a dark pink colour but just a couple of this years are a lovely delicate pale pink. This one is in a shady spot so didn’t reach the height of the rest but I think that just adds to it’s delicacy.
I know these two photos look very similar but I was experimenting with taking them in different lights and then I couldn’t decide which one I liked best.
This is my favourite colour of foxglove.

Pretty, We allso have lots every year, like you many in the veg plot, I think they come from the compost.I allso transfer them to the flower beds.
They are great because you can transplant them to any spot that needs a bit of height and colour.
Oh, I love Foxglove. I stopped growing it when I got hens. I was afraid they would eat it. I’ve read that they won’t eat what is toxic to them but I don’t trust my goats. Seems like they will eat anything and everything. Still such pretty flowers. Make great cutting flowers too.
I too read about all the things that are toxic to chickens but that is one advantage to having my girls contained to their run. I can grow anything outside the run but I am careful to keep anything toxic away from the weld mesh. However I slipped up a bit as you can see in my next post which also proved that they didn’t eat something toxic.
