Silver laid her third egg today on what is actually the shortest day of the year. This sort of disproves my theory about it being the brightness of the day, although having said that, it is brighter today than it has been recently. There is a bit of weak sunshine and it’s not raining for a change but it isn’t overly bright.
Silver laid two eggs in three days and then took a break of eight days before her third egg. The interesting thing now will be to see if she continues to lay this time.

Well done Silver, every egg is a bonus. We look forward to the next egg.

Yes, well done Silver.
They never cease to surprise me.
Bantams are so unpredictable! Hopefully, the spring will have you awash with eggs. the ‘trickle’ here has strengthened somewhat – 5 yesterday – but none today!
Have a lovely Christmas, Carol and Richard, and keep blogging.
You are doing well for eggs for this time of year. Silver laid a second egg yesterday so tomorrow I will know if she is going to continue.
You too and your family have a lovely Christmas. I always do a “Christmas day in the chicken run” post so will do that tomorrow with the girls Christmas day treat.
Nice to get a few eggs this time of the year.
It is lovely. Silver laid again the day before yesterday so I think she will probably lay again today giving us a Christmas day egg. I am just in the middle of writing my Christmas day post and will update later if she lays today.
