Christmas wishes

I hope everyone has had a happy Christmas. I took some photos of the girls on Christmas Day but of course we are all too busy for blogging so I will put them out later.

The girls had scrambled egg and cooked sprouts for their Christmas Day treat which went down well. I found uncooked sprouts were too hard for them and ignored but when cooked, they all got eaten.

We have had a lovely time with family and had lovely gifts including some chicken themed gifts but I thought I would just put out one photo of the coffee mug my husband bought me which is now a favourite.

I think it is so pretty and the china is fine which makes it lovely to drink from.

I am sending everyone good wishes for the rest of the Christmas break and wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

Thank you, Carol; may I wish you, your family and your girls a very happy and healthy new year. I got a lovely chicken mug, too! We had a lovely Christmas with all 3 of our sons and families, complete with our latest arrival – our grandson Thomas, who was born at the end of November.
The girls are not much enjoying the frost, but egg production is up, as they are gradually coming back into lay after the moult. The amazing Dart has lost a few feathers from her neck, but is still laying every other day! I hope that Peaches and Barley are keeping you supplied, and I’ve no doubt that you’ll be awash with eggs when the other girls start again. Look forward to seeing your Christmas photos; I must get into gear and take some myself. Enjoy your New Year festivities.

Every chicken owner has to have a chicken mug, it’s the rules.

I am glad you had a lovely Christmas and congratulations on your latest arrival, Thomas.

Peaches and Barley are so in synch that they are laying on the same day, every other day, like clockwork. We had two eggs from them on Christmas Day which was lovely. I had been stock piling their eggs so that the family could have two eggs each for our “after Christmas” breakfast.

      Dart is amazing!

I can’t wait to have loads of eggs again in spring.

Enjoy your New Year celebrations too x

Glad you have been enjoying your break. It has been frosty here. Bet you can’t wait to see your girls.
